Activities and Groups

We hold and host a variety of groups, workshops and presentations to promote your health and wellbeing.

A range of therapeutic, support, exercise, self-help, educational, and social groups are available. These can be facilitated by our staff, by facilitators we pay, professionals from other agencies or by private facilitators who hire the facilities. Before anyone hires our facilities, we assess their credentials, goals for the group, and their capacity to work within our values and approach. We only offer those groups that add value to our services and our community.

Ongoing Groups

Mother-Baby Nurture

Thursdays, 11am-1pm (10-week series)

Becoming a mother can be a time of great joy and also a time of mixed emptions. Mother-Baby Nurture is a 10-week group designed to support you and your infant through the early days of parenting as you get to know and respond to each other. It offers a gentle pace to learn how to listen to your infant, to your own self, and to share in the lived experiences of other mothers.

Please call 1800 171 882 or email if you are interested in joining the next term. Please note you do need to have a discussion with the Mother-Baby Nurture team before joining and it is not a drop-in workshop.

Circle of Security

Wednesdays, 10:15am – 12:15pm

The Circle of Security Parenting Program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. The program works with parents and care-givers to help them understand their child’s emotional needs, support the child’s ability to manage emotions, enhance the development of the child’s self-esteem and honour the innate desire for their child to be secure.

This program is available for women living or working in the Fremantle, Melville or Cockburn regions with a child under three. Groups commence at the beginning of school terms and creche is available. Registration is essential. If you would like to register or have any queries about this group, please email or call us on 9431 0500.
